impresses with its extensive landscapes, spectacular natural experiences and an intact environment. With just 59 inhabitants per square kilometre, Glarus is far below the Swiss average of 208 inhabitants per square kilometre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, the small canton in north-, respectively south-eastern Switzerland has a <strong>foundation density of 28,2 foundations per 10&#8217;000 inhabitants.<\/strong> This means that the foundation density in Glarus is almost twice as high as the Swiss average. The Swiss Foundation Report authenticated the canton as having the third highest foundation density in the whole of Switzerland for 2022. In the foundation register of StiftungSchweiz you will find grant giving organizations with their registered office or area of activity in the canton of Glarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Diverse Foundation Landscape in the Canton of Glarus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swiss Foundation Report 2022 counted <strong>117 foundations<\/strong> in Glarus. Two new foundations and one liquidation resulted in a small growth of 1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Large parts of Glarus are characterised by mostly untouched nature, the special climatic conditions promote the flourishing of flora and fauna worthy of protection, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Tectonic Arena Sardona makes the secret of mountain formation impressively visible.
